A fantastic spot for Nigerian cuisine! I tried the Peanut Soup, the Lamb/ Beef /Chicken Suya Platter, the Jollof Rice with Plantains, Red Red, and Efo Riro--and I loved every bite. The weekend live music made the atmosphere lively and welcoming. If you've never tried Nigerian food before, this is a great place to start!

As a person that is not accustomed to Nigerian dishes, I know I have reached the cusp of authenticity. I have ventured into kitchens that serve Ethiopian Sudanese Ghanaian as well as Ugandan cuisine! But today was a first trying the soft, fluffy, warm but intentionally flat tasting fufu. The people of Nigeria enjoy using fufu with almost every meal for its starch and as a polite way to eat with your hands. To me To me, Ike's embodies the truest experience for your first dinner of fufu with light soup, Jollof Rice, plantain, peanut soup, fried tilapia, & chicken Suya. I am an incredibly adventurous eater, but with so many of the menu items containing the shrimp powder I was not able to try everything. I really wanted to experience the egusi, but I can't because of the Ingredients require shrimp powder. Be sure to ask when coming in for your first time because they let you sample the soups such as peanut, okra, and others. Some contain peanuts and shrimp so you really have to be honest with the servers that are educating you about the menu. I had the absolute pleasure and fun experience while being waited on by the beautiful & vibrant Victoria. She is so knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic, and an absolute ambassador of her culture and love for her people. I had such a warm hearted conversation with her about dishes to her and her family. I also sampled the palm wine which is such an experience! I loved my plantains and how crispy they were while most are served, greasy and mushy, mine were delectable and hot! The soup was so distinct, unique, tasty, and robust! I love that it is a spicy soup, but it doesn't make you full yet it enhances the flavor of the food. I did enjoy trying the chicken with the fu fu dipping in the light soup. There were so many options on the menu but I only tried eight. When I visit Atlanta again I'll be sure to stop by and bring my family. This is a place of culture, rich in family values, graced by beautiful ambience. Their bathrooms are warmly lit, clean and fully stocked. Everybody is happy to see you and very warm. Can't wait for my next visit I will definitely be ordering some beef suya, goat as well as puff puff!

I have no reference point regarding what flavors to look for in terms of Ghanaian food but for what it's worth, this place is amazing! The restaurant is a medium size establishment off of Tech Dr. in Norcross and it's a hidden gem of West African cuisine. Upon entry, it's a very unassuming entrance. The interior is spacious while the setting is set to provide a more intimate sense of style with low lighting. Unfortunately, the music is blaring so conversation will be difficult to during a date. The service is great. My server was prompt and professional. Now for the food... A friend recommended I get the jollof rice. This is a tomato based dish that gives you your choice of protein of fish and beef or chicken and beef. There is a depth of flavor to this that I could not pinpoint. The rice itself had a rich smokey flavor that has a savory bite to it. Again, I can't pinpoint the spice they used but the dish itself is addictive to consume! The beef I will say had an odd texture to it. It was tough to chew but was also a bit fatty which was an off putting experience. The chicken was a bit more tender but was still giving an overcooked feel. Both the proteins were overcooked as there were tough portions to chew on. They were flavorful to be sure but for the most part, consuming the proteins was off so if they can improve the cooking method on the proteins, that would make for a better experience. The plantains included were tender and sweet which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also sampled the meat pie. This was a different to be sure. The minced meat is mixed in with some carrots and onions and the seasoning. It's almost like a hot pocket but the dough casing is thicker and doughy. It came hot and ready which was pleasant. All in all, again, I have no reference to understand what the flavors are but there is definitely a richness and a savory depth in the Jollof Rice. As this is also a tomato based dish, between the sweetness of the tomatoes and the sweetness of the onions off sets the savoriness and then there's a spicy bite to the whole dish between the rice and the gravy sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish despite having no context on what to know but for what it's worth, it's good home style cooking. Highly recommend this place for sure!

Expanding my palette is one of my favorite things to do being a foodie! West African food has always been a favorite of mine & I've been having my eye on @ikescafeandgrill for a minute! located in Norcross, this location has plenty of seating and a vast menu full of all your favorites. Food is flavorful & spicy If you've never tried fufu or pounded yam before I highly recommend pairing it with Egusi soup for your first time! The drinks here are also strong! It's also in a plaza, so no worries on parking It's pretty busy on a Saturday night, so be mindful

The food was good. African food from all over so delicious. The beef had a little bit of more oil less flavor. The food took us back to Africa. Thanks Ike cafe grill. Our server was Victoria. She was amazing. The ambiance was good. Lots of chairs in the back made me think about the place turns into a night out scene. Keep up the good work.

Great authentic African food!!! The Ghanaian Jollof is my favorite. The service here is good and the food comes out hot without a long wait. I got the Efo Riro with beef and it was delicious the veggies tasted fresh and the have a nice portion of well seasoned and tender meat. My friend got the Egusi soup with Fufu which they thoroughly enjoyed also. I'll definitely be back to try more of their dishes. They also have dj here playing live music.

I would honestly rate a 3.5 if possible. One waitress was rude but the one who served us was professional. We ordered the efo riro with assorted meat and the jollof rice with beef. The efo riro doesn't come with starch so you have to order your pounded yam etc separately. The jollof rice plate does also come with 3 plantain. We also ordered a side of beans which was $10. The prices were pretty decent . The jollof rice plate was delicious but the efo riro was pretty bland. There was a hint of spice but I wish we would've requested a bit more. They also bring out the water and lemon bowl for washing hands after eating the poundo. It was a good place to try African food if you never have. There are flags next to each dish to tel you where it originated.
